The attraction is the biggest statue perched atop a pavilion just outside the monastery. The statue is said to be crafted in the image of the monk Luang Pu Thuat. Wat Huay Mongkol is very popular with both Thai and foreign tourists.

How to get there: Wat Huay Mongkol is located about 18 kilometers west of Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province which can be reached from Highway 4 along route 3218. Stay on the 3218 Road all the way to Wat Huay Mongkol, going straight ahead the road becomes the 3219. This road leads to Ban Huay Mongkol and Wat Huay Mongkol.
